Default FAA Background Check?

I recently received an internship offer from an airline and will probably have to go through an FAA background check. My background is clean as a whistle, never had any issues with the law, not even a traffic ticket, however I'm worried about one issue that may cause a snag in the process.

One of my work experiences in high school was volunteer work under my moms company to gain real life experience. I listed this on my résumé and since there would be no social security, paystub or w2 of this employment, I'm worried that this would disqualify me from my internship.

Am I making a mountain out of a molehill, or how should I best resolve this?

Volunteer work in a family business?
What is there to be worried about?

My vote - mole hill.

Probably no big deal once you explain it was volunteer work at a family business.

But to avoid even having to confront that issue in the future, I would add the words "family business" when you talk about it on the resume. That will disarm in advance any concerns about no W2, etc.

If this is your only worry when its time to apply to the airlines you'll be in good shape my man.
