Default Mesa or XJet?

Looking for some advice. I live in San Diego, have a Reserve Job and this will be my first airline job. I will be commuting. I think the Junior Base closest for a San Diego Commute would be Kansas for Xjet and Houston for Mesa. Mesa will have the E175 which seems nice and maybe an option for a new hire. I think Xjet will be the E145 most likely. Would love to hear which company would seem like a better fit for me based on your experience in the industry. Thanks!

I am also curious about this. Mesa seems to be turning around and definitely growing.

Definitely Mesa. Worse quality of life, but you will move faster there it believe.

What about Skywest? They have west coast bases.

That's what I was thinking too. I am also looking into skywest. I just don't want to be a FO forever. And I'm not sure what upgrade times look like at Mesa, but have to be better than skywest.

The Mesa junior capts are 2003 hires. I worked there for nearly ten years. It can't even begin to describe how messed up that company is. It was a constant battle and they work by threat and intimidation (management).
Please for your family and yourself go ANYWHERE else!

The Jan 2004 folks were just going back as to the left seat as of this month. What's quick movement, 8-10 years to the left seat? They might be getting more planes but where do you think the top 300 folks are going to go?
(Sorry not trying to sound like a @$&##) just putting that out there.

Mesa MIGHT have a relatively quick upgrade opportunity in the next few years. Maybe. But if that falls through you'll be stuck on an express elevator to hell. When you eventually start class at SKW you'll be asking yourself why you didn't just do that in the first place 3-4 years ago?

I won't say don't do it, but caveat emptor for sure.
