CL/Resume Question
Where is the appropriate place to list my availability? Should it be as a part of a cover letter or in the resume.
Along the same lines, should I even bother? Especially if it is only going to be another month or so?

Generally, a resume contains your education, experience and qualifications, not your availability. Depending on the situation, you could add a line about your availability on the cover letter. If employers want to know, they will ask.
I am not in the airline business, but I have looked at many resumes in my career. If there was a promising candidate and I had a tight deadline to hire, I asked about availability. Most good prospects probably already have a job anyway.

Unless your availability is unusual, say outside of a month or two, don't worry about listing it. When they call for an interview or you go to the interview, you can ask about the timeframe for placement/hiring if it isn't brought up in the due course of things.
