Can you be an airline pilot:

Do you have to be absolutely passionate about aviation to have an enjoyable career as a airline pilot? I don't exactly love flying but I think it would be a career that fits me. If not, should I get out of the aviation industry?
Yes, you have to be passionate or have a lot of discipline.
It is a long road and a lot of hard work to get there.
I have 19 flying jobs under my belt and have worked for the worlds smallest airline, and for the biggest one.

Right now a supposed pilot shortage is opening up and it may be easier, not sure, but the cream-puff jobs are usually hard to land.

Just now retired at 58 because I was burned out, but been there, done that: From flying Cessnas in bush Alaska to Captain on 747s hauling both pax and freight all over the planet.
(Freight is better, more money and no complaints from the back)

Unless you are totally dedicated and love flying, don't go there, you may be disappointed.
Or you could be lucky and get a sweet deal from the beginning and be a cool-air drinker with the airlines logo tattooed on your penis.

Closed because he asked the exact same question in six different threads. This should also be closed. Of Stets's 55 posts, about 35 are "Should I be a pilot?"
