Default Getting Hired ????

I am new here. I am a ag pilot currently. I have a accident on my record ( in an ag plane). I got hurt in the accident but I have made a full recovery and am able to get a Medical. The FAA did not list the accident as my fault. I am just wondering if this could be disqualifying at a regional?

Nope. I know a few people with accidents flying for the majors as Captains. You will get hired by a regional immediately if you meet their minimums. Good luck.

I'm a Ag pilot and have a accident as well. I've worked for Eastern ( before the strike) and a regional. I've discussed it during the interviews and the interviewer was more interested in the Ag business than the accident and it appears that they assumed its normal for us

I know a pilot who crashed a 172 into trees on take off while instructing who was hired at a regional and is now at United. It can happen.
He attended safety seminars and spoke of his accident.

Thanks guys. I more than meet the mins. I have just been thinking about going a safer route for a career. I love the ag business but it does come with some risk as I have found out. I have a lot of friends both at regionals and legacy carriers. All have said the same thing. Just be open and honest and it won't be a big deal. I know lots of ag pilots and just about every one has totaled one or more. Haha.
