I wasn't too happy to spend $199 to register only to find out afterwards they were sold out. I can cancel my registration and lose a whole $99, or go and wait in line on the last hour of the day and *hope* I get to talk to a recruiter. I would also like to know the odds that I will be able to speak to UAL and DAL, or would I be better cutting my losses and getting back $100 out of the $199 I paid a few days ago....
I am in the same boat as you, except I spent $150 and can get all but $50 back. Not happy at all.

I'd politely ask for a full refund and if they say no or don't respond, contact your bank and do a charge-back. I'd say that they have not delivered what's promised since they haven't told people when it is sold out.

LOL. Why would they do that? Everyone has to make a buck off your chances landing your dream job with a major. Think about how many of us suckers payed $199 to stand in line hoping to drop a resume on the table.

The catch to the fair-only registration for $150 is you need to become a member, which is $49. Once you click on the member registration, you can select exhibits career fair only for a grand total of $199.

I paid for mine on 1 June and got suckered also. Now I can't even "modify" my registration to see if there are appointments open.

Oh well. Is this shin-dig business casual?

I prefer to wear mine outside the pants, but then again, I'm easy...

I was told they are sold out.

With that said; has anyone attended without appointment times? If so, how was it?

Last year you could not talk to UA without a slot. They said that they would normally have had a standby line, but OBAP had scheduled appointments through lunchtime even though the UA people were going to a luncheon. So they were backlogged for the rest of the day and were unable to take standbys. DL was easy to talk to without a slot. Not sure about the rest but I think you could have talked to the rest on standby. Hopefully it's organized better this year and they will all be taking standbys.

I strictly going for Southwest. The past fairs I've been to had fairly short lines for Southwest so I'm hoping that will be the case at OBAP.

I volunteered to work this conference (I'm with AA and live in Chicago and wanted to help out). I'm not totally certain that I'll be selected, but if I am I'll ask whether or not we'll only be meeting with attendees who have a slot or if there will be additional opportunities.
