Default Republic and AirlineApps.com

Hello all!

I'm very close to being ready for the regionals, and I'd really like to check out Republic. I'm currently flying a twin doing 135 stuff and have 1450 hours total. Most of my time, however is in helicopters (1200 in fact). However, I will still meet ATP mins very shortly. So, I've applied to Republic on the Airlineapps website. Problem is I don't think they can see my application. On the airlineapps 'compare your application' tool, they want 600 hours in airplanes. I only have 250, so I don't think they can see my application. However, I still meet the mins that are on their website. Any ideas on how to continue with Republic? I haven't heard back from them, but maybe I should give it more time... I haven't found a pilot recruiting email or number on their website. Any ideas on how to move forward? I think it would be a great place to work, and I'm ready to do it!
Thanks!!

Why not just apply directly on their website?

Apply directly on the Rjet site. I did and it didn't ask for any flight time. You upload your resume to start then basic stuff and five years of work history is the only thing it asked for. HR went off my resume for flight time breakdown. Airline apps asks for so much detail it could open up a whole can of worms during the interview. Got a call to interview exactly 24 hours after submitting. Flew up 2days later to interview. Got the CJO call 4 days later. Good luck!

Thanks a bunch! How do you like it there? I currently live on the West coast, and would like to move out east. Do I have a good chance even though most my time is in helicopters?

Different airlines have different standards regarding the application of RW time to their required FW totals. Many airlines give no credit at all. You'll need to look at each airline you apply to individually to see what their policy is.

Skywest for example always allowed some helo time but required about 750 FW (+500 RW) as a minimum. They recently changed that to allow any amount of RW plus 250 FW totaling 1500 (ie ATP mins) so you could apply there as soon as you get 1500. Actually you could apply now and they'd hire you and give you a class date after you hit 1500.
