Default Career advice needed

i'm hamza, 19 and about to start university soon. I have a love of flying as a pilot but at the same time I don't wish to spend my entire career as a pilot (you have to be away from wife/family, friends, and everyone else etc) and you spend majority of the time traveling and the other obvious reasons. but i (and yes I) wish to do an engineering degree first which requires 4 years. What do you think that is it possible for a future 23 year old to get a commercial pilot license? and if so, how long does a pilots license take, cost, and after all that happening, is it possible for me to get into an airline business as a commercial pilot versus much younger applicants?
