Default Jobfairs

Any recommendations on a site or sites listing all the jobfairs going on this year? Word is that guys attending a few jobfairs a year are getting the call and I would like to find out the ones worth going to that the majors/cargo carriers are attending this year.

Don't know of a specific site that covers that, but your "big 3" are NGPA (already happened), WAI (this March, but the ship has sailed on getting the Fast Passes required to speak one-on-one with a recruiter), and OBAP (the main event is every August, I believe). There are smaller, more frequent ones like FAPA.aero, also.

FWIW, a few airlines have said publicly that they'll likely be moving away from the organization-sponsored conferences like the ones listed above, and toward their own in-house stuff like we've seen recently at Delta, SWA, and United.

I though I read somewhere internally, that AA will not be giving any weight to job fairs, though they'll still speak with you. Seems pointless, if you don't get credit.

That is how US Airways used to do view job fairs as well. I went to a job fair they were at (really wanting to get hired at UAL) didn't bother speaking with US Airways, did speak with UAL. I got called for an interview at US Airways 2 weeks later (and was hired). Didn't hear from UAL for nearly 18 months...

Maybe with the retirement numbers coming up, job fairs will go away.

AA didn't meet with anyone at NGPA. They held a briefing and said that they might hold an in-house event a la Delta at some undefined point in the future.

Default Is it worth it?

After having paid for the whole weekend at WAI, I received my Fast Pass assignments. They happen to be my last two choices. One Is it still worth going and is there still a good chance I will be able to speak with the airlines I want to talk to? (Delta, United) Or should I get a refund.
