Good thing our 401k's are not in China, this isn't the down turn projected for Mar/Apr (9 month cycle referenced in previous newsletters) They suggest stay the course for now - stby for guidance later! Or something to this effect!

It will be interesting to go to the Vanguard website tomorrow and see how much was lost. I've got their auto-pilot program, I just hope they had fast fingers

You're right. It will be interesting. Please report back on what was done to your account, specifically, if they put you all into a cash position. Thanks.

I don't think autopilot will have bailed, doesn't it depend on the stop loss numbers? I didn't touch a thing, just waiting for the airways advisor newsletter/email. I track my Vanguard, as well as other stuff, elsewhere and set up alerts to my cellphone and email when certain events occur, ie. hitting stop loss values!

Ohhh wellll,...lost about 11K yesterday.(still far better than 9/11) Back to end of December amounts. Now the break-down is; 88% stock, 10% bonds and 2% short term reserves. It had been about 95% stock and 5% bonds.

frozenboxhauler- I haven't been using the autopilot feature. I just went back on the Vanguard site to find the autopilot program and was unable to find it or how to turn it on. Got any info for me on how to get this feature working? I'm stuck on an Asia trip for a week and am unable to call Vanguard's 800 number or else I'd ask them. Thanks for any help.
