And, if they can't figure that out - then a hat and double breasted coat would only get them to ask you to deliver bags to the rooms!

Why do people want to look less casual? I find it kind of silly. I'd wear a clown suit if it would pay more.

Anyway...I am sure the clown suit would help you pick up little kids easier...creepy.

for casual Fridays we should wear the FedEx white polo and our uniform pants. Of course the ball cap is optional

I've read the FOM carefully and think we can get away with ALPA Belts, socks, and boots. Did you use a spare lanyard to make the thong?

Sounds like the people who say:

"I don't support the war, but I support our troops!"

"I support the Union, but I don't like the design of the lanyard (or the lanyard is lame")

Same kind of statement...either way. Always makes me want to ask those people "just how do you support the troops when your statements and actions show antipathy for them. Why don't you make public statements of your support." I am sure going to the VA to visit veterans is not convenient or comfortable, but Rolling Thunder did to show support....the lanyard may not be cool or comfortable, but .... do you want to make a public show of support? By the way, I also fly an American Flag from my doorstep everyday, not just the 4th of July and Memorial Day.

I go to Church more often than Easter and Christmas as well.

Are you committed? Or lukewarm? These sound like the lame excuses I hear from my pre-teen when he is trying to justify juvenile actions he is embarassed to admit he has taken.

Interesting take, but real commitment isn't a pin you wear or a lanyard and it surely isn't what you say. Real commitment is acting as a group and acting in the best interest of that group. Real commitment is keeping enough liquid assets around so you don't have to call the Union a week into it and tell them how bad it hurts.
Real commitment has to do with your direct actions that let management know you are serious. They are more aware of these actions than any symbolic value anyone may attach to any trinket.
