Don't you think that people benefit from various view points and not just the one that will kiss the bosses a$$? Some times in order to get a point across, one must use terms and phrases that are not popular. But as the old saying goes: what's right is not always popular, and what is popular is not always right. TonyC, let me offer some dissent: I agree with your post, but I don't think that it applies here. I don't see people here using derogatory terms or intentional expletives very often , if ever. Are you saying that only one opinion matters? (nazis)?. Are you saying that someones career could be ruined because of an opinion? Well, the nazi party is alive and well. The day we can't clearly express our opinions because of fear is a sad day. Why did you post that? Your post was as useless as a tit on a bull. Yes, that's my opinion.

I don't disagree with Tony's post, but I was always was a little more fond of "useless as tits on a BOAR."

I hope that doesn't cost me getting a job somewhere someday.

If it did(which, it couldn't), it probably wouldn't be a place that you would want to work anyhow(i.e. around a bunch of nazis).

Your words are correct, though that doesn't make Tony wrong!

I think you miss the real context of Tony's post. We had idiot on here the other day that should have heeded Tony's advice! Unfortunately, that thread mysteriously disappeared!

Care to elaborate specifically/generally for those of us who missed it?

It is possible to be dissenting without being abrasive, condescending, and profane. Try it sometime. Polite, civil communication is actually a powerful tool. (and I use the term "tool" as it was originally intended, as an apparatus used to repair or maintain something.)

I never saw anything in Tony's original post about not being able to express an alternative opinion. I think he's just looking for civility and respectfulness. Works for me.

I'm sorry if I seemed abrasive. If you actually thought that I was, however, you need to get some thicker skin. This is an awesome forum and I think that different view points draw more and more people to it. I mean ,the bulletin board side of it is good, but how much is there to discuss on the ORD parking pass? And yes, everything that I post, I would state verbally in front of everyone. Don't forget though, that since we are not face to face, some things may be taken the wrong way. just my .02 cents

Insinuating that one is a Nazi is not considered overtly abrasive? My mistake.
