ABX is currently interviewing. Unfortunately the quality cut has disappeared. 5 showed only 1 made it to the sim.
Hey Soapy, the word is out!

Wow! It seemed like everybody used to make it past the panel and then they would weed people out in the 8. Batting .200 to get to the sim is nuts.

And yet, they want to hire into a “pool.” These games are ridiculous.

Good lord how hard could the HR and Tech be??? From everything I've seen and heard this is a great group to fly with and once a new CBA is finished should be hard sought after. Ref the 8... don't people know how to fly gauges anymore? I dunno... outsider looking in with random thoughts.

Lots of ATI 76’s in CVG, that’s the amazon hub yes?

I flew steam gauges for the first 14 years of my career. Then for the last 14 years I’ve been on the B767.
Flying that DC8 for my interview last year was not easy. Plus ABX wants you to use their call outs (They give u 30 mins to study).
Back in the day I could fly steam gauges down to minimums half asleep, because I did so many of them.
Today not so much lol. I was seriously working my ass off.
We have all become so dependent on automation.

Ah I understand. I didn't take into account the 8's difficulties. Very true.

I hope you have an iron-clad Scope clause, which of course none is, as it will be easy to replace the current operated by sticker on the side of the airplane. Enjoy it while you have it.

They have a pretty-good scope clause (which I have seen) and a side letter (which I haven't). Makes it very, very difficult, it appears, to transfer any 767 currently operated by ABX to be operated by ATI.
