I believe they dig a hole in the garage floor and install the shelter there. I also think there is a Fedex MD driver that has a side business installing them. I'll PM you his name if I can remember it ...

Regards ...

Mark

It think you're talking about these guys:

TSW Storm Shelters, Inc.
Indoor/Underground Tornado Shelters

The product that we found was the StormEscape system.

These amazing tornado/storm shelters are the most affordable underground, 6 to 8 adult, indoor shelter systems on the market. Usually installed under your vehicle. It can be entered with your car parked in the garage. The beauty of this shelter is it can be installed in existing homes and accessible without going into the rain, hail and lightning that accompanies storms. Click here to read more about the shelters

NEW PRODUCT
We now offer a fiberglass model with all the same removable benches and stairs as our steel model.

Get A lot of Tornadoes up there in Seattle do you?

Ordinarily I'd would laugh at the idea, but with the recent Tornadoes in Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona.........I'm beginning to be an AL Gore advocate......

Of course it doubles as an Air Raid Shelter when N.Korea launches their
No-Dong missle your way.

RedEyE, with the snow this year, 3 times believe it or not, I think we're suffering from Global "Cooling" around here. We did actually have a tornado once. I think it was in the late 1970s'.

I think with their inability to settle on whether the weather is cooling or warming, they've decided the new term is Global "Climate Change." Whatever happens, it's our fault.
