Anyway, I wouldn't consider bringing my bike with me on every trip, maybe once or twice a month to Belgium or wherever. It was just a thought to make my training fun and see the country side. Thanks a bunch for the support and the info guys!!

I have a bunch of bikes. I just did 40 miles on my Look KG381i. Also have two Serottas, an Eddy Merckx and a couple of Croll road bikes. No shortage of road bikes in my fleet!

Frankly, my layovers even on the CRJ are sometimes long enough, and in places where riding would be nice! Especially upstate New York or New Hampshire or Vermont. But we already have enough hassles and I am usually tired enough that a 30-45 minute run is all I can muster.

But believe me, I empathise with your idea. I have many layovers where I would love to get out and go for a 2-hour ride or so.

Hey, does anyone have any info on Northwest Cargo? QOL, payscale, bases, etc?? That's one cargo carrier I've been wanting to get info on for a while. Thanks guys!

Not much other than they provide bikes for all crew members on layovers! ;)

LOL! Maybe they can throw in a surfboard for the South Pac runs. :-)

the info you seek is on the board in the airline section (not the forum section)

Actually, NWAC isn't on the main site, unless they use the same payscale as mainline NWA??

Actually, it is. Same airline, same union, same rates, same contract.

Oh, ok! I figured that may have been the case but wasn't 100%. However, do NWAC guys stay with NWAC or do they also fly NWA 74's? Thanks for the clarification!

For what it's worth, last year when I was based in Anchorage, I stayed at a bed and breakfast, which also catered to NWA cargo crews. The last time I walked in the door, there was a captain and a first officer (both NWA guys), each working very hard on their laptops. I asked "what's going on" and they each told me they were in the process of searching for other jobs. Again, for what it's worth.
