Atlas

They have probably been told by another entity that they have to try to amalgamate Atlas/Southern, so that we cannot vote on the contract. There are 3 legal proceedings that affect amalgamation. Once those arbitrations(2)/court ruling(1) is over, then we will get a contract. How long it will take after the rulings...no one knows. If the company wins, then we won't get to vote on this contract. If the company loses, we will get to vote.
When will the arbitors rule...there is no required timeframe. And, I don't know the timeframe for the court ruling.

I think it is pretty easy to leave Atlas to go to an LLC. Most of the pilots I know who want to do this...it is because of a base issue/trip length issue. They want a base that Atlas does not have, or they don't want to be gone so many days in a row (Spirit is 4 day trips, max, I believe).

I'm not sure if Atlas is a great place to use as a stepping stone to advance your career, though. We talk about the numbers who move on, but we don't talk about the numbers who remain. Coming here is more or less of a lateral move from a regional airline at this point. At least in terms of career progression.

On a separate note, is there some reason I'm not allowed to join our company's Facebook page, Giantcomms? I haven't been on our Giantcomms page once yet.

I was using our family account which is under my daughter's name. Turns out they were making sure I wasn't some weirdo masquerading as me. So, thanks, actually!

AQP
Have an interview coming up with atlas. Currently I am right seat at a regional, not looking to upgrade at.
Anyone know if they have AQP yet. My current employer doesn't have it, and it would be nice to work somewhere with it.
I have seen job listings on glassdoor for AQP managers at Atlas, I just don't know if/when they ever will implement it.
