The company provides work VISAS for foreign nationals. Different types depending on their needs. We do have Kiwis who work here too btw. Many from Australia as well. Hope this helps!

Cheers!

Not true. National has sponsored one (1) visa for foreign nationals.

I suppose all the foreign flight crewmembers I’ve been flying with from New Zealand, Australia & other places all have either US passports or green cards. IDK. I never bothered to ask. My bad for assuming.

Very likely so. The USCIS statistics are available online and I can only find one hit from 2021.
The Aussie visa is easy and quick. For others, there are annual caps and the process can often take up to a year.

Worth emailing about, and/or going to? As in, are they going to interview and offer and make CJO's?

Allowing Aussie's and or others to work for US Carriers with sponsored visa's undermines the pilot shortage and therefore increases the pilot supply. Unions/US Gov should not allow this, the less supply we have, the higher the wages we can demand.

No, it's not a pilot shortage problem at some carriers, it's a pay shortage. If you pay, they will come....

I agree. However, most of the first world have FOs flying CRJs/A320s/737s with 250 hours. The pilot shortage has come for many reasons, lack of interest in aviation is one of them
