Pilots are the smartest as long as they're not giving financial or marriage advice. 😂😂😂

Sooner or later you will realize that most doctors are only guessing and don't really know how anything truly works. I think the long wait beyond your appointment time is simply them in their office using a DR version of Google.

Close to you 100% of doctors have the mental ability to become a professional pilot if they so chose. The percentage of professional pilots who could pass medical school and residency is significantly lower.

I think some might be missing my point. Replace dr with another profession that takes skill and training. My brother is an electrician with at least half a dozen employees but is growing and needing more. He’s had to raise pay and benefits to “steal” qualified workers from other companies to come work for him. If you tried to start an electrician business in his state paying min wages you wouldn’t last long. There are only so many skilled and qualified professionals and they expect to be paid in accordance to their training and skills or they will go elsewhere. The more money and time you put into training for your career the higher return on in investment you would expect.

Via died because they did not have good mx programs in place and their management was awful. I know this firsthand.

I mentioned this before, and a few people got “triggered”.

That’s terrible starting pay! Last year we hired a 500 hour FO and he started at $77k.

Nobody is hiring a 500 hour FO at a part 121 regional airline.

$50k base salary not including OT or per diem is a better starting salary then most regionals.

Mostly management. The MX improved the longer they had the former TSA planes and worked the bugs out. Initially the first few years the planes had a horrific dispatch reliability record..... but again, they were told by those who knew not to buy the planes from TSA, but they didn't listen. That pattern of not listening to experienced industry professionals eventually closed the airline. Mismanagement plain and simple.

They already do exactly that. They call them interns and work them like slaves.

I concur 100%. It was the same story on the pt 135 side

I don't think the ACMIs are as hard up as everyone says they are. Atlas and Southern are probably the exception because of the contract situation.
