Default DHL Tracking Question

I purchased something from India and it was promptly shipped on DHL. The tracking information indicated the following:

October 15, pick up Jaipur, 5:16 pm
October 15, depart Jaipur, 10:53 pm
October 16, arrive New Dehli, 7:35 am
October 16, processed New Dehli, 11:59 am
October 16, arrive Leipzig Sort, 9:15 pm
October 17, depart Leipzig, 1:18 pm
October 17, arrive Cincinnati Hub, 2:28 pm
October 18, depart Cincinnati, 6:10 am
October 18, arrive Seattle Sort, 7:26 am
October 18, arrive Seattle Delivery, 8:51 am
October 18, forwarded for delivery, 12:20 pm
October 19, forwarded for delivery, 1:38 am
October 19, forwarded for delivery, 7:39 am
October 19, awaiting pick up by recipient as requested, 9:09 am

Does this mean I have to go to Seattle and pick it up? I was under the impression that it would be delivered to me. Besides, where in Seattle am I supposed to go get this package? Who can I call? Who should I call?

What does this all mean?

The abbreviated version is that DHL and Amazon are in bed together, and that's why your package is making some unnecessary stops. It'll be a few years before all the bugs are fixed.

If it were I, I would call DHL Express at 1-800-CALL DHL and ask them. They should have on the computer the info from the waybill, which would define what service they should be providing to you.

I am assuming that you are somewhere near the State of Washington, so that the routing at least makes kind of sense. If you're here in NYC, then it's just a SNAFU. Either way, calling them is probably the quickest way to an answer.

Just a quick update. I should have followed my late mother's advice to be patient.

On October 21, I went to the post office and this big hunky box was sitting there waiting for me. 80% of the residents in my little beach town use a post office box. I have the vendor/seller put down both the box number and physical address on all online purchases.

4 days from Jaipur to me. That's quite amazing. I have purchased stuff from Spokane that took a lot longer to get here.

It has nothing to do with Amazon. Jaipur, New Delhi and Leipzig have nothing to do with Amazon. They use the same sort facility in Cincinnati on opposite sides of the clock, but to suggest that "they're in bed together" and that's the reason for the route is ridiculous. Leipzig is their main European hub. It's how you get to the US from that side of the globe. Cincinnati is the main US hub. It's where stuff goes when it comes from outside the country. It would have gone exactly that way if Amazon never existed.
