Without routes or slot authority they can't fly anywhere other than domestic routes. Even Kalitta is limited to sub-service flying for other carriers. https://www.iata.org/en/policy/slots/ |

The fact is your CBA and theirs are about the same cost wise. ATSG is giving you the same pie to cut as you wish. They prioritized quality of life (home basing and hotels as soon as they leave home, real tickets and air miles), you guys prioritized bucks (slightly higher rates, much better retirement package) In the end it's costing ATSG about the same. A rising tide lifts all boats. |

ABX didn't sign a horible contract to get ALL the promised flying if they did from the sister companies. They also did not agree to NOT negotiate a new contract for 2 years and pay raise for Captains only in exchange for additional aircraft which were supposed to come from ABX stock. ABX would not give up the aircraft with scope protection....management got ****ed off and violated the contract. We struck We tried to convinceATI to negotiatefor better retirement, better disability, schedule protection etc. They wanted to capture all the flying as promised if they agreed to a money only contract.. Learn the facts before you post.

With a bigger pilot group comes more negotiating power for the union. If the company wants to continue to grow or even stay the same size they’ll have to agree to a better contract. Sometimes you have to play the long game to get what you really want.

And what did that get them? A company that has grown to more than twice the size of sister ABX with a reliability record that is unmatched in the Amazon network.
