Microsoft’s Azure has grown to about 30% of the cloud computing market while AWS holds about 41%... and Azure is growing faster than AWS. Just FYI

These “public cloud computing platforms” are quite impressive. While a priority for Amazon, they go far deeper and venturing much farther out in diversification than Microsoft ever has or ever will - at least until tomorrow. Never know, just an opinion looking at their portfolio. Amazon offerings aside from cloud services is extensive beyond computer technology. Having moved horizontally into shipping bit by bit, watch out - healthcare seems to be next. Microsoft definitely has had more than double acquisitions of Amazon since 1987 (about 240), Amazon about 100 since 1998. Microsoft investment into same tech takeovers, Amazon into products, Whole Foods, shoe company, renting lift, healthcare, etc. and gathering more tech to push their AWS. Microsoft may surpass, don’t know but Amazon doesn’t take prisoners, just buys them or leases them out and doesn’t stay on the highway it knows like other companies, they spread out/venture out. Hit or miss, they just keep trying sh*t just a mere observers opinion.

I wondering why the sudden change of heart.

Is this the service that was being provided by ATI?

all pretty accurate but you’ve got to think that at some point they’ll come in and break amazon up because if not at the rate Bezo is going the only option for anything will be amazon.

no, they just previously completely dominated one industry, which resulted in no choices for the consumer, the foundation of antitrust law.

everything sold on Amazon can also be purchased locally, at many stores. You may have to get into your car and spend all weekend searching for it, but that is your choice.

The Post Office is 25 million in the hole thanks to Amazon. Trump will fix this issue and Amazon may not like it. I think they will readdress this delivery service decision.

true the slight difference is that when amazon goes into a new market they do it with the intent to dominate. Bezos has said before “their profit margins are our chance to to come in lower”. Not an exact quote but you can get the point. Amazon makes most of its money from AWS so al the marketplace, shipping, etc can be done at almost break even cost. Yeah that may not always be the desire but it can be done and they still stay in business and making money whereas a business that only serves one market can’t. Take Walmart. People used to hate Walmart for putting other businesses out of business. Look how many amazon has run under and people still love them.....and they probably will until they get so big they’re the only choice and their prices go up. I don’t know if any other company that’s come in and tried to take over just about every market they can get into except amazon
