hope it gets better at polar..... They're on again, off again, merger talks are for the birds. I, for one, think it's time to take into our own hands and go back to Section 6 (contract talks). This is exactly what we are talking about. What a crock of ****ake mushrooms. The grand news is just now starting to make waves. Who knows if they're the ones that are in the middle of the ocean that turn out to be tsunamis -- only time will tell. |
ABX Air Gets New COO....
ABX Air announced today the creation of the position of Chief Operating Officer. It has hired John Graber, an industry veteran, to fill the post. The new position is designed to best position ABX Air to move forward strategically.
"During 2007 ABX Air will lose three key executives through retirements and John will provide the added expertise to ensure our continued success both short and long term," said Joe Hete, President and CEO. In his new role John will report to the CEO and have direct responsibility for Flight Operations, Maintenance and Engineering and Ground Services. Graber, an industry veteran with over two decades of civil and military operational experience comes to ABX Air from AAR Corporation, where he was the President and General Manager of Aircraft Services Indianapolis - one of the largest MROs (Maintenance Repair Organization) in the nation. Prior to that, Graber was the Senior Vice President of Operations and General Manager of the Military and Charter businesses at ATA Airlines. His experience includes over 10,000 hours of flight time as a pilot. He has flown as a check airman, served as a chief pilot, and is a decorated combat veteran of Desert Storm. He holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. "John Graber brings a strong record of international operational excellence to us.” Hete said. "He led one of the largest international charter airlines at ATA. He was the senior operational leader on the team that successfully guided ATA through some difficult times. We’re looking forward to having his business skills, experience and energy working for ABX Air.” |

Only the Shadow knows who I am...and nobody should believe or assume that I am affiliated with any side of any topic, airline...nor any union....just a concerned citizen who would like to remain totally anonymus. You have probably seen me on other forums though....I would like to fly for an airline when I get my hours up and I would not want my sick artistic vision to affect me getting an airline job at any cargo operator someday. While ABX or Astar are nice little airlines...I dont know if I'd want to work for either until they figure our what the hell they are going to do with your airlines... Good luck guys.

I've gotta tell them who you are. Hugh is the bastard son of a chief pilot for a mid-sized air freight and express shipping ACMI carrier based somewhere in midwest Ohio. His half-step brother, Heywood Jablowme, a onetime night club singer is now an ex-DHL ramper convicted of running a Meth lab and distributing his product through the DHL system. I used to date his cousin (I'm sure he'll post her photo here someday). Her name is Abby Agudlay (aka: the white swallow). She worked at a moped shop selling menstrual cycles to under aged Ohio girls prior to working on the DHL ramp as a "tug puller". She's moved on now and by God do I miss that girl. DRIVER |
