How about an arrangement of 747's to include China route authorities? :D Please understand that my ball isn't crystal, however.

One of the Feds was observing a 767 oral recently and made a comment about a system that was different on the "china airplanes"...

Supposedly there's been an unannounced purchase of Air China 767s. If that's what you're asking.

ultradrvr 07-27-2007 06:30 AM

I see....so the fed was one of our (your)assigned feds to ABX Air? All of the 76s or just a few?????

ASTAR Withdraws Indication of Interest For ABX Air
Wednesday July 25, 9:39 am ET

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--John Dasburg, the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of ASTAR Air Cargo Holdings, LLC sent the following letter to the board of directors of ABX Air, Inc. (NASDAQ: ABXA - News) in response to a letter received on July 24, 2007 from Joseph C. Hete, President and Chief Executive Officer of ABX Air:
July 25, 2007

ABX Air, Inc. Board of Directors
c/o W. Joseph Payne, Secretary
145 Hunter Drive
Wilmington, Ohio 45177

Gentlemen:

On July 24, 2007, Joseph Hete informed me that ABX Air's board of
directors and management, having consulted with its advisors
regarding ASTAR's $7.75 per share indication of interest, have
determined not to proceed.

ASTAR believes that the $7.75 per share amount reflects a full and
fair price and is generous to the shareholders of ABX Air in the
absence of a transaction with ASTAR. In light of your response, as reported in Mr. Hete's letter, our board of directors has unanimously determined to pursue other alternatives and we are, therefore,
withdrawing our indication of interest.

Very truly yours,

John H. Dasburg

So, Daz seems to have bid what he could afford or was "authorized" by the puppetmasters and Joe, to no one's great surprise, said no. Airborne and DHL talked 4 or 5 times before a deal was stuck. No reason to belive this one would go though on the first shot.

IMHO, by doing this publically Daz and the puppetmasters are trying to drive the price down. Your milage may vary.
