I know exactly what was said, but it ain't here. Jobs are not in jeopardy. We are not being replaced. The sky is not falling. The little quadcopters are what we're talking about here. They are not the size of a 747, nor will quadcopters the size of 747's be delivering a toaster to your back yard.

The end of the world, and the industry as we know it, and our jobs, is not here. Relax.

Drone deliveries are about as realistic as flying cars. Can you imagine non-pilot types being able to fly a car? Especially given how dumb most people have showed themselves to be the last 2+years. Would you like to see the POTUS being able to fly a car (or drone)? Most people can't fly an RC helicopter bought at Target. And we expect drones to be a common thing for package deliveries?!

If it happens, no one posting here will be alive to see it. Domestic single pilot? Possibly. Pilotless? Not a chance.

It’s all fun and games until a washer falls from the sky.

I agree. As long as a logbook has to be signed by a PIC there is zero chance pilotless flight decks will occur.

Who ever said the PIC has to be on the flight deck?

The PIC of remotely piloted equipment isn't in the aircraft.

S(he) could be in a basement, trailer, building, office, or elsewhere, but his or her presence elsewhere doesn't prevent the pilotless cockpit, regardless of any requirement to sign a logbook.
