UPS CPT...
I have also spoken with members of the EB and NC and can tell you that they do not give out specific numbers regarding pay/retirement. They will tell you that they are close but still looking for the last few hundred million to close the deal.
The cdrom you refer to is worthless in my opinion. The numbers referred to are ballpark but like a puzzle, the picture is not complete until the final piece is in place.

I think all of this so-called movement is just part of UPS' plan. Pretty soon we will be hearing those famous words "just help us get through Peak". Come January, talks will break down and we will go back into recess. I hope I'm wrong.

Thanks to our "brothers" at FedEx and their "lofty" expectations concerning pay, IPA is going to be hard pressed to get more than $225/hr out of the company. FedEx ALPA really phucked the IPA with their pay proposal. UPS' pay proposal is already higher that what FedEx ALPA opened with! So for all you IPA guys/gals that were expecting the truly big bucks, thanks to FedEx ALPA it aint gonna happen.

Well, when it comes time to vote on a contract, you UPS brethren can use your rock solidarity and always vote NO and put in a new negotiating team.
Our A380 rates aren't half bad, by the way, nor are our end of contract proposed rates. They are weak up front tho.
It's high time you guys fix your 1st year pay while we're discussing this. How many more new hires will we steal from you?

Typical FDX ALPA, Ride the coattails again. An 8% raise? You guys just cut the legs out of UPS/IPA. Grow some balls, or fire your MEC. Very disappointed. I knew you guys had Fred Smith lovers, but this is pitiful.
