From another guy who wants to bid the HKG FDA, you will not be taking money out of my pocket by not voting this thing in. That's an absolute farce. SVT seems all too similar to the dreaded "junior manning" we had at a previous airline. No way, no how.

Hey Albie thanks for the PIREP.

As usual the Indy crowd (along with Newark, Alliance, Oakland, LA and Anchorage I imagine) gets ignored. I assume the out-hubs don't NEED any additional information.

The company, and now the union, can take this LOA and shove it.

Sorry, but the answer is still NO.

And one other thing....attention company....If you SVT me, I WILL NOT GO! Just like the turds you were afraid of suing you for the agency shop section of the CBA, I feel you are changing the "conditions of employment under which I was hired." Maybe I can get John Edwards to represent me.

Don't forget us day flyer, we get no love either.

for those relatively senior guys who think the STD won't bite them,
while I don't have any numbers to back me up, I'd bet that the majority of guard/reserver participation is in the more junior folks.....and, how will the company accomodate mil leave requests for those folks.

some units ask for 8+ days a month already......wouldn't be too hard to make the mil participation incompatible with the STD.....also don't think too many commanders willing to lose their troops for 3 bid months.

And don't forget if you have vacation during the 3 month period, you may not be able to be sent. Or training scheduled. Or have an in with the cp.

An STV could finally get me to do those extra days of drills that my squadron has been asking for.....Go Navy

The answer to this question was, that managers get schooling for there kids but, the company has controll over the cost because they know how many kid's they have and can choose one manager over another in the selection process because of the amount of kids they have.

Since the pilot slots are a bid position, they have no controll over the cost of the schooling because of the unknown of who will bid it.Basically, we're not going to ponie up any cash, thanks for playing though.

W.R. said you can send your kids to French public schools, they teach english over there. On reply, to the fact that our non french speaking kids would fall behind due to french not bieng there PRIMARY language, he said somenthing to the effect of ,they will catch up.

This blew me away and It seemed to me that I was listening to company reps not alpa reps at times.

I need more of your thoughts than that to respond seriously...

BWP...maple please!

Obviously you don't know the difference between a Domicile and Foreign Duty Assignment. If you ever get hired you can read the contract for yourself.

Yeah, I'm sure he is thinking to himself that he could have answered that more thoughtfully, to be honest.
