Sleepy--you need to put a muzzle on the old man before you take him out in public again. He is making it easy for the "no" voters to have a lightening rod.

Your call--but I'd treat him like a crazy uncle if I were you...

Just not impressed. There's a post on our (ALPA) website about the reliability of our service, but nary a mention of this issue. Minority opinion? MIA. 22? 5 ? How 'bout using some of that verbosity in an official missive, for a change.

It is also folly to believe that MD and 27 guys won't be affected by this. 1.) The Boeing is going away rapidly (to 75's). 2.) althought the HKG FDA is to be manned initialy by Airbus', I keep hearing 2-3 year plans to have MD-10's based there as well. Fly the 11 into theater, pick up an MD-10, fly intra-theater, then home again on an 11. SVT and no education allowance are deal breakers for me. Thanks for the good post Albie.

The new LEC 22 update has TonyC supporting passageof this LOA. Maybe everyone should step back and take a deep breath and try to see the MEC's side of this and then vote. Flame away.

My bad. LEC 22's response was in my email. Still waiting for the minority report.

Blah blah blah - same old party line. I like the part how junior guys won't be able to get STD's (STV) - maybe in Paris but, HKG is a different story.

BC was in Asia last week. Rather telling that he didn't hold a meeting in Subic, isn't it?

Not sure if he was in Subic because his schedule is blocked. Hmmmmm....

Fedex999999 07-11-2007 03:43 PM

It's my understanding, from 2 of the Subic guys, that the Minority Opinion was held back on purpose by the author himself. He wanted to wait until it was closer to vote time, and allow people to read the LOA, before he put his side out.

Anyone else in the know?

Well I expected that they should know better than to say what they said.....
