Default FDX Scheduling / Open Time Q's

Quick question for any FDX guy who has a moment:

For a relatively junior guy, say 2-4 years on the property, how hard is it to pick up a DDH from open time? How about a day DDH? Or would it be easier to string together 4 or 5 individual trips to create this scenario for a junior guy.

Anyway, just curious...I guess open time pick-up is seniority based or first come, first serve?

Thanks. Sorry if my terminology isn't quite accurate.

Btw, let's leave CDG and HKG out of this equation and assume MEM based.

Hmmmm....two to four years on property and not familiar with these answers? Must have had VERY nice schedules in the past!!

Open Time is on a First Come & First Serve Basis

With the new contract implementation, there probably will not be much in the way of Open Time, unless you are MEM 727 and pick up the Disputed Pairing through BVT....

I would suggest trying for the DDH trips, but do not be surprised when you receive "Earlier Time Stamp" VIPS Notification. Also try for individual trips and maybe you could string a bunch together.

The next question is whether this is CIC or MUV? If so, then the window opens tomorrow to make those requests, which are based on seniority (I believe).

Hope this helps.
