Anyone know what the admin problems Alpa had with the bid?

It is getting rid of extra seats that the over 60 crowd can sit in while they wait for the train to leave the station!

Sounds like a good idea to me!!!:p

Why would ALPA tell us about any problems? They know what is best for us, no need to bother us with any kind of information that affects our careers.

The MEC was originally against the excess bid, but have recently changed their mind a are now for it. Among reasons cited were, "We wanted a say in how the process is accomplished." ;)

An alpa e-mail has been sent out "explaining" the reason. It appears to be a computer modeling error by the company.

Or Mama or trucks or getting drunk...

I went down to the station in my PICKUP truck... She got runned over by a damned old train...

I just e-mailed my Block Rep for an explanation. In the meantime, "Why don't you ever call me by my name". (DAC)

And the MEC sings, "And we'll hang around as long as you will let me (letme, letme, letme, letme!)" :D

Maybe I'm missing something, but I thought they would excess in reverse seniority order, meaning that the junior guys would be excessed first. Unless of course, the senior guys want to go, then they go first. Assuming of course that most of the over 60 guys are senior. Is that not how it's supposed to work?

It had to do with the answers the company was coming up with for the guys who already had training dates off of the -10 and for the guys that still have training dates going to the -10. Evidently management wasn't real clear on how the excess was going to apply to those pilots.
