Hope it's just a computer error for you.

I somehow hooked the eval, and my application went to "on file" shortly thereafter.

Figmo, et all

After waiting nearly a month, I had my sponsor go to HR and hand them my Resume. He said he was very humble with them and just wanted to check if I was in the system correctly. They were nice and checked that moment and said I was in the lineup. I got a interview call about a month later.

I would not call yourself, have your sponsor go in for you. Good Luck.:)

First off hope this isn't a hijack. I've read thru everthing I can find, but not sure how you make the jump from Active to Eval.

I filled out an app back in April, its shows active and complete and asks me to sched an eval but always comes back with a "No appointments available at this time."

Am I the only one getting this or is this a thanks but not quite competitive response.

Kouk I think I met you in DAL last May, sorry we are both not over there now.

Talon,

Interesting post- you ask UPS advice but speak of DAL wishes.. OK- here's some timesavers for you I found helpful in the last 8 mos- "Active" status is a good thing- you should find you can post a single file containing you cover letter and resume at the bottom of the online app system at UPS. If you were "on file" you couldn't do that. Have you always been active? I'm guessing yes. Does your email have a spam blocker set to allow alll "@ups.com" emails? That's where your notice of assessment and then assessment willl come from domain-wise. If/when you get it, some folks had problems getting the link to open from a hotmail.com account- AMMV, you can forward it to other domains and try. The first time you get the notice of assessment it's a test to see if they have a valid email address- so if it gets stuck in your junk, you're sunk, so to speak. The actual assessment comes either in a few minutes, or over a month- so hopefully you are not in an area where you can't check email daily and have time to do the assessment.

Pilots have always had the distracting "appointment" schedule not on the app website, it's not used by UPS for F/O apps, but they can't remove it- no sweat. If you are "active" you met the screens in the program. Hopefully you'll see an assessment coming your way.

This info covers lots of folks efforts since the Jan '07 UPS online Apps came, changed, updated, etc- you may find more by doing searches.

Thanks MoosePileit,

Great info, the "appointment" button is what was throwing me. I put a resume on when I first filled out the app, so it looks like its time to wait and see.

As to the DAL comment, met Kouk down there, was bummed not to get the job because it was the first time I have ever been shot down, also because I don't love my current flying job. Missing the international stuff I did at ATA, though which is why UPS is so intresting.

Thanks again

I think you met someone else. I have never interviewed with DAL. Best of luck with UPS.

While going through old emails I clicked on the assessment link to see what is was and all of a sudden it said fail. Anyone else ever hear of such a thing? ...

I might be misunderstanding your question but did you click on the online assessment link months after you had already completed it? If so, it is not a computer error but rather a normal thing for it to go inactive. The online assessment link is an "invite" that expires once you have completed it. The fact your application is active is a good sign and I hope you'll get the call soon.
