Default New Thread On Hotels FOR THE ADMINISTRATORS

Since we seem to be on our own purple tails thread I have a question? Is it possible to set up a thread about Layovers that would be subdivided into domestic, Europe, and Asia/Pacific having a separate thread for each city about places to eat and things to do....I have wanted to do this for multiple years and never had a forum to do it.....would this be permissable?

pilotswap.net has such a thing. Before he had to take it down a couple years ago I posted on there a lot. People don't seem to read his new web page. I don't post on there anymore.

My dear 42GO, there is a whole section called "Layover Gouge" set up precisely for that very purpose. I've been trying my darndest to keep it active and lively.

I started a thread there on Tokyo, Japan. Please add to it if you know anything else other than 7th Heaven.

This is close to what I was thinking about. Is there anyway we could put this as a permanent sub thread under purple tails. The general nature of the one you quoted I think would not get used because guys are looking about info for their particular hotel that we stay at...
If it was always a small link that was easy to find, I think a lot of people would use it.

42GO- I like this better due to it gives us everyone to put info and not just FedEx. Just my .02 cents.

42GO, I agree with kc10. Discussing NRT, HKG, KIX, and SEL layovers, for example, would benefit many-- not just FedExers. Now, time to start adding content to their empty shells!

I've thought many times about putting something together along these lines.

Another thought: Google Earth has a provision for saving and emailing place tags with lat/long, for those hard to find spots. I'm not 100% smart on the best way to share the tags yet, but I'll look at it some more on my next trip if anyone is interested in that option.
