UPS Window NOW OPEN

Just finished my app at UPS and now for the long wait. Anyone have any hints on how to get the interview? I have over 5300TT and was wondering if there was anything else I could do...

Thanks and good luck to all

Nope.. its all up to the computer from here... you may get the assessment soon, or in a few months. If you don't hear anything in a while, the only thing you may try is to have your "sponsor" stop in HR and ask about your status.

Good Luck.

A solid pilot rec and going to an Air Inc., job fair helped me out...worth a shot anyway.

how long has the window stayed open?

It opened up about 48 hours ago. Prior to that it was closed for several months, hopefully it'll stay open for a while...

sorry my question was weak.
How long have the windows stayed open in the past for submitting apps? One month, two months, two weeks?

How long do you anticipate it staying open?

I am just getting my new medical next week and want to put that in accurately.

thanks for all you help AV8OR.

Neosporin,

The window was open approximately 30 days last time from about mid-April through mid-May.

Does Air Inc help?

I was thinking of the latest Air Inc seminar, went to one 15 years ago. Are the airline reps accessible? I only am interested in speaking with UPS so a conversation with a representative in the know might be worth the travel.

Has anyone been to an Air Inc job fair recently.

thanks.....joejet

joejet,
I really think the way they call for interviews these days is straight from the computer and going to an AirInc. job fair won't do much. I was at the Women in Aviation conference earlier this year and I had a bunch of friends come and NONE of them but one got called for an interview but he had already taken the psych eval so I think he would have gotten a call anyway. My other buddy that came had over 1000 hours in the MD11, plenty of PIC time, 757/767 and MD11 type, check airman experience, etc (pretty much everything they want right now) and he did not get the call until the application window opened later. Even after that, it took them a while to call him. Oh, and just for the record, NONE of my qualified female friends got called either. But, I would still go because you just never know. If you want the job bad enough, you should try every avenue possible. Good luck.
