When HR decides to call people for an interview, the computer will RANDOMLY pick the requested amount of interviewees that meet the parameters that HR is looking for. This probably explains why some people get called quickly and others take months to get called.

An internal recommendation will add a point to your score. It doesn’t matter if you have 1 or 20 recommendations, one point will be added to your score.

Date of application within each application window does not affect the order in which you get called. Current window to close in October.

Still calling people from the April window, probably through the end of the year.

Can apply only once a year and need to reapply each calendar year.

Saying “no” to the ANC base won’t disqualify you. If you obviously have deep roots where you live now, such as you own a business, or there is a situation in which you would obviously not want or be able to go to ANC, be honest.

Because you are in the pool does not mean you will be called, you may never be called, sorry to drop the bomb, however the pool is small and the poolies are reviewed monthly.

How did you get those answers? Are you working with Freight Dog? Are you working with the HR? We are just trying to know the facts straight from the source before we start "spreading new rumors" - something every pilot is very good at! ;)

The standard line from email followups were Thank you for your interest, UPS reviews the pool to fill the needs of the company. I thought the same thing let HR know I remain interested, Still floating and the beer is cold in anc. Gotta admit it's a bit frustrating seeing a lot of my collegues that I trained getting classes while I continue to swim, but in the scheme of this business I have a good job and fly good equipment so I still have a lot to be thankful for.
