Default FedEx Poolies

I have heard through the grapevine that approx 35 candidates are hired and waiting for a class at FedEx. When did you guys/gals interview? Has any poolie found employment somewhere else and not coming back???

Had a Duty Officer on the jumpseat not to long ago and he said that he had insider knowledge that the pool was about 30 folks.

Maybe... Maybe Not but I will say the D.O. was wicked senior... I think it was a 4 digit employee number. Not that means anything but makes me think he REALLY might actually know somebody?

I interviewed in January, have been wading in the pool since February. My sources, as well, have said 30-35 in the pool right now. Am now employed elsewhere, will see what happens. Lotsa stuff going on in the company nowadays.

30-35 is not a big number of swimmers guys/gals. Keep those orange arm floaties pumped up! Just my WAG..... when the MOAB is finalized, the bean counters will go to work and we'll start hiring. Yes, I know the 10 was excessed, yes I know the boeing is fat in all seats, but we're adding jets and we're adding 2 FDA's and there are still guys and gals that will be buried in the DC10 or the 727; they're not going to budge off of that equipment. Just my 2 cents.

I interviewed in February and in the pool, of course. Just curious as to the interviewees prior to me....

Got one in the SWA pool and another started UPS in July. With other jobs out there (Delta, UPS, and SWA) and the possibilities of FDAs, I'd give the pool about a 15-20% attrition factor.

Interviewed in Nov 06 and placed in the pool in Dec. I am still flying with my pre-pool employer and also patiently floating, waiting for a class date.
