At World I'd say 50% of my tickets are full fare. the rest id50's, rafi, or of the sort. I just did a Kuwait to the states thru London that was full fare and got all the miles for it.

Really? I have some good friends at World and none of them have come close to getting premium status on any airline thanks to getting jerked around in multi-leg, middle seats on ID50 and consolidator tickets that are ineligible for FF miles!

Through training it was the norm to fly the no FF miles to Atlanta and so on. But since I checked out only on one leg have I not earned miles. I have had many legs where even though I am a Silver Elite with Continental, NWA, I didn't get the complimentary upgrade. I assume this is because it was an ID50 fare.

Funny thing about ID50's, they aren't cheap! I can often beat an ID50 fare on Orbitz provided I have better than two weeks notice... I know... I know...

Though I'm no longer ith Whiskey Oscar Alfa, let paraphrase the response from corporate to the above statement..

"YOU! Back in the box! We've always done it this way!"

Looked at the website and I cant seem to find published hiring mins. Is a FE certificate required?

Will there be recruiters at the ATL job fair? I dont know anyone on the inside at World.

Thanks in advance

I'd be one of them ;)

No MD or DC-10 type required and I don't know if it would help or not.

Will they be at the job fair? Don't know, but I can find out. If they do attend, stop by and say hello.

As for the whole frequent flyer miles, there are several ways to game the system. Consolidator tickets to and from Europe can be big miles. I just flew from Brussles to Florida on one. You can self book. I did it all the time when holding a regular bidline. The other way is to simply point out a cheaper full fare ticket option. Since Gobal came on the property, travel has been much more friendly to this. The ID 50 tickets are the one's you can't get miles on. You just grin and bear it as best you can. I'd still take a middle seat coach ticket over jumpseating to work. Maybe it's just me.

BTW, the new pay scale has been posted.
