Quit your complaining, at least you'll be doing your crossings at FL400 and above, and at a high mach speed, unlike us (in my case, ex) Hog drivers. 12 hours and 45 minutes from Bradley ANG Base in Connecticut to Nordholtz AB, in West Germany. No hot lunches, piddle packs, while wearing a full poopie suit, but worst of all, no autopilot of any kind. Not even a wings leveler or altitude hold. But of course that was during a time when men were men, with very large bladders.

Always felt sorry for the hog drivers when we drug em around in the KC-135. But ya gotta love that gun!

A-10 has to be the coolest plane flying today. Keep all the electronics and gee whiz stuff, a really big gun solves all problems. Nothing like depleted uranium shells to make you feel all warm and fuzzy......

Or multi-engine sea time? Seriously, I'd sign up, but I don't have recent fighter experience, other than that unloggable stuff if my dreams. Are they really going to find guys that are already in? Whats the dif. anyway?

They won't have any problem filling those slots. The want fighter qual'd guys because there a known quantity. Not every makes it all the way through training. We just had a guy wash out of the RTU not too long ago.

Is it an associate unit? If so, be prepared to deal with the Eagle guys and all of the "earning your raptor" trashtalk.

If I can get with FedEx or UPS, I'm definitely going to try for a traditional slot up there.
