Oldfr8 got the drift. Everything is a tradeoff for something and the bean counters didn't just add it in. It got costed out and considered, just like the $150/yr that FedEx reimburses for any uniform items (including shoes and socks, etc).

Why don't we wait until the Bid comes out and is awarded and see how many current SFS pilots elect to stay in ASIA.

It will be interesting if only less than 30% come back stateside.
Time will tell and it should make ofr interesting side bets and Odds paid..

I feel very blessed to be wearing brown/black/whatever it is. My only point is that there's no such thing as "free" anything and there's room for improvement in our contract. Glass half empty?!? That hurts!

I used to pass out a company notepad to the newhires for sim training. They said it was nice to get a free notepad to use in the sims. I always joked that the "free" pad was $10,000 and deducted automatically from their first year pay! :p:D:D Still happy as a pig in brown to be working here. Heck, they even still have ocho's (oops, other thread )

What a ceap skate. When I was an IOE instructor for 727 engineer new hires I would give them a maglight. People still thank me <G>, That was when you would get 700 a month fla rate and never having more than two students a month it didn't sem too bad.
