Dollar hits record low...AGAIN!
CNN just reported that the $ has hit a record low against the Euro for the 4th day in a row. I hope that bid comes out soon so all of those senior guys can bid CDG and fill it up before I get SVTd. But then I guess I'd have to bid the 75 first, right?

Bank rate now $1.42 per Euro. That should work out to about $1.45 to $1.48 for the consumer depending on their bank/ATM fees. I hate to think what the exchange rate is now at a hotel.
How far does that $2700 go now? Why funny you should ask! On 06/27/07 when the LOA was released to the crewforce for review $2700 dollars bought you 2014 Euros. As of 09/25/07 $2700 buys you 1901 Euros at the bank rate. Your mileage may vary due to your bank/ATM fees.

Agreeing to a FDA LOA with No COLA mechanism what-so-ever to protect against further slide of the dollar was simply uneducated, naive and reckless.
Read the papers gentlemen---with our nations continued trade deficits, and the FED scared to raise interests rates due to the threat of a recession, where do you think the US dollar is headed long term?
FDX revenues in Europe will be in Euros --- but our pilots will be paid in dollars.
Looks like they successfully found a way to bring in "cheap foreign labor" to move the freight.

Anyway, this was my NUMBER ONE reason for voting against the LOA. FedEx will be earning Euros and paying us dollars. Beautiful.

You need to lighten up every once in a while.
