Just curious who gets to choose what name goes on the plane?

Check with your FOA about the program...there is a form you can submit with the name/names that you would like to have on an aircraft.

I flew 725FD a few weeks ago. The name on the plane was Zebradedra. Who sticks their kid with a name like that?

Someone that works on the ramp in deepest darkest Memphis. Any FedEx employee can submit a name for a plane.

The normal Search function wouldn't pull this up (I'm guessing it's because the thread is archived), but the Google Custom Search helped me find this:

Plane Names

This guy hasn't made it to the college level yet but he will:

A Senior from South Sumter.

That would be Yourhighness Morgan. In his latest bio he has shortened it to YH Morgan.

If his Mom got hired by FedEx and won the kid name lottery (yeah, he's too old, I know) can you imagine how much fun that would be?

Would you like a cup of coffee Your Highness? Would your highness like this landing or may I have it?

I bet there are guys here who would see that name on the airplane and think "Finally someone figured out that I was flying this trip!"
