So why the push for such a crappy LOA? Wasn't DW talking about scope?

That is a good question to ask DW during the next hub turn meeting.

Last year, they produced 150.

Asia is forecast to increase the number of freighter aircraft by 340%, to 419, through 2020. Who will fly them?
Alteon opened the Changi facility last year and has the capacity to train 6000 pilots per year. I can't say if that's 6000 zero time ab initio students, I would think not, but the capacity is huge. There are some heavy hitters in that region that will meet the training needs eventually. In the meantime one has to ask if $128K is fair market value?

The goal will obviously be to bring that rate down (substantially) with homegrown talent.

Shenzen is working with Mesa to staff their CRJ operation in China.

The 8 days off mentioned sounds very much like the Mesa reserve contractual minimums for USA domestic ops. I guess they are applying these in China.

All I can say is - "Enjoy that".
