Now, dang it INNKEEPER and BITTER don't go hijacking my thread. This ain't about the Hatfields and the Macoys down there in the hollar in Wilmington a-shootin' it out.

ABX and Astar are trying to hold on to what ever flying they can get and DHL would be happy as a tick on a fat dog if they added a couple more ACMI logs to the fire down here. DHL is just sittin' back waiting to see who starts the race to the bottom.

Stoke the fires and support your negotiators. It ain't about ABX vs. Astar. The enemy here is DHL and I want to know who might show up on our (ABX and ASTAR's) ramp next.

I don't have anything to add. I just thought that was important enough to bear repeating.

There are 2 problems here. Yes, ASTAR and ABX need to watch our collective backs, and DHL is the real problem. However, the ALPA lawsuit is a mighty big impediment to cooperation. If the ASTAR guys really want to keep the status quo at ILN, get Earl to straighten out ALPA national (which I am sure is really behind the suit)

Earl has publicly asked to speak to your pilot group so you can ask questions and get the facts behind the "Lawsuit". We have also invited Dave to speak to us, we supply the beer(well cokes and coffee and food). This was several weeks ago........the door remains open.

Nice. Tell ya what "erichartmannsonderbaumstein", anything I post on this forum, is in no way intended for you, cause you and Whisslin' got the market cornered on reality. But before I go, why don't you call and ask your union president why he hasn't taken us up on our offer to let him come speak with and answer questions from us let Earl do the same over there at 1224.

To all others just trying to get informed. Assuming we get a copy of the court transcript from the 9th circuit hearing this week, I'll post a copy or a link, and you'll see.....again.....that the "ALPA lawsuit" is ALPA is being sued by ABX and DHL management.

Whatta goob.

That's right you guys did not start this!! What youreally mean is DHL and Abx, counter sued.....After Astar Alpa and Alpa National fired the first salvo.

You twist things to make you guys look innocent!

Not twisting anything Bitter. We are not innocent. I've never said we were. But you are correct about one thing....we did not start this....DHL did, by violating our CBA. I've asked it before, but I'll ask it again....if we truly believed our CBA was violated......A. Should we have just not filed the grievance for arbitration? B. What other parts of our contract that might offend the sensibilities of ABX and DHL should we not enforce? C. Is that the way 1224 handles grievances, or would handle a grievance, that potentially affects another work group?

While it may not have the shock value of shipping feces to one's management staff, it is our hope that the tried and true process of mediation and arbitration produces equitable outcomes to disputes, therefore we have tried to stay within that framework.
