Thumbs up New Rumor

No sooner than I posted about no ANC, I heard a new rumor. Lufthansa wants us to fly from Europe to HKG, INC, ANC, ORD, starting next month. So there might a ride one of the directions. Although I don't know where the plane will come from, they're maxed.

I just have two things to say......WORLD CHAMPS!!!!

That would explain why "Airman Crew Services" in Incheon was telling me that they just closed a deal with World.

I would say "World Rules" but who am I to say....FNG.

Most likely AMC (military) flying.

Haven't heard anything definite on when hiring will resume. We are short check airman, so things are backed up. Still VERY short of pilots on the 11, hopefully be alleviated a little with Delta birds going to UPS.

I would imagine new hires will mostly be on the 10. If we get the 3rd 747, new hires will likely get that as well. 747 FO went surprisingly junior, bad for me good for new hires who may want it.

We just dropped off an MD-11 in Incirlik (Turkey) that was being ferried to HKG then flying to ICN and ANC, so this must be true. Hopefully will be a permanent thing and not just ad-hoc - maybe flying toys to the states for Christmas?

I was told by a Captain going to the 744 that they would be flying FRA-PVG-ICN-ANC-ORD... Actually, I'm not sure about Chicago, could have been JFK.
