I can hold CDG FO.
-I'm not interested in it, but I put it fwd on the practice bid because I was curious about what would happen.
I make $54 per hour now. Starting December, I now get a GREAT pay raise:$15, taking me up to $69 per hour [pay is based upon 70 hours of work] to buy a small boat early next year. I'm looking for a pontoon boat or a deck boat in Fort Lauderdale, figure$3000 for the boat. I want to take my friends from my house in the suburbs to the downtown restaurants and clubs , and I need to keep the cost to operate per hour down to a few dollars. I want to use the boat since the cost to park a boat downtown is zero...whereas parking is 75 cents per hour. I don't want to waste money by parking my Aerostar in a pay lot!
The only thing that bothers me is that pontoon boats are very expensive to operate. Most have at least 25 horsepower engines- and these gobble fuel like nothing. I owned a sailboat 13 years ago, and sold it. I wish I had that tub now! GREAT way to have fun, and I learned how to sail to boot.
Anyway, someday I'll be able to afford expensive boats, but right now I cannot since I am happily sucking the scum off the bottom of the aquarium. Yes, I am a Plecostomus! Suck, suck suck suck suck suck suck.....!

One of my buds says the over 60 guys medical out a lot. My assumptions are too pessimistic. He also says the transition from 10 to 11 is not all bad. Long haul ops require a higher crew ratio. I think the truth is somewhere in between his assumptions and mine.
Looking at '09--The 777s will help the situation. But the slowdown in China growth and 3 to 2 man conversions do not.
Yeah, some SOs will be there a long time if they pass up CDG. But my bank account and QOL prefer SO to Paris.
I predict newhires in CDG. I also predict they go thru cash like a drunken sailor.

I'm glad you still have a sense of humor.
It does look like some of the over 60 guys leave every month to finally enjoy their retirement. Not as many as keep coming over, but its a start.
