Vista and Fedex

Vista and Fedex
Has anyone had any problems with Vista dealing with Fedex's website? ie green screen, expense reports or any of the bidding programs.....
I am buying a new laptop, and it seems that vista is the only option.

You can still get XP on certain laptops from Dell, the Inspiron 1520 and the XPS M1710 and M1730. I've also seen some older laptops in stores that still have XP loaded instead of Vista.
Doesn't answer your question but it might be another option.

If you go through the company website to the Dell page, look down the left side of the page and there is a bullet called: Still looking for Windows XP? That will allow you to view the systems they offer with XP instead of Vista.

Been with vista since last april, works with vips and exp reports. I don't use fastbid, not much need with only 55 lines in lax bidpack, but use a variation of it for reviewing pairings for the lax psit, and it works fine. Supposedly green screen doesn't work, but I haven't tried to download it yet, never really used it once I found out where I wanted to live. Overall, vista is ok, had a few problems early on, but the fixes put out my microsoft have worked.
Good luck.

Try to avoid vista if you can. You are much better off with an older laptop with XP. Heard from a reliable geek source that vista may be compared to windows ME which was somewhat unstable and was quickly replaced. Fedex sent us a message about a year ago.. do not buy vista, we will not support it. Older laptops with xp are in HIGH demand. A really nice model(if you can find it with xp) for us is the 3 pound sony vaio.......
