Default ANOTHER Reserve question...

When you take vacation during the month, does your BLG not get leveled until after your vacation? I just peeked at my leveling and saw zero hours, even though I have vacation later this month.

Looked at the contract but its still fuzzy to me....

Vacation needs to be before R days to get leveling. Vacation after R days does you no good grasshopper.

Nope. Moved off that darn day.

Had some good luck on reserve with some pretty nice trips overall--so I know I can't whine when I do get called for that death march somewhere.

Coming to MEM for a the 14-17 party? Could be fun....

If you could pick any one day, which would be the most fun?

Hmmm.....I'll get back to you on that one.....

The agenda probably won't be the answer. The day that's most interesting will be the one where most guys show up. There is a lot of angst, anger, and frustration right now--some of it valid, and some of it just a result of dynamic circumstances. I think we'll see some legitimate beefs brought up (like Festivus...the airing of grievances....), and also some guys who are just going to vent and rant without any real plan on ways for improvement. Judging by the past performance, I'll bet lunch that at least one of the heavy hitters says something so condescending and polarizing we'll be reading about it here the following week.

I'm sure, however, we'll get a great report on the happenings at national....

Isn't there some way we can blame your leveling situation on the over 60 guys? Let's put our collective heads together and think this through. It must have been caused by the over 60 crowd.

I'll work on it. Don't you have a raquetball date? How was the Christmas party?

Racquetball at 12:30, singles with the club pro. The Christmas thing was mostly horrible. Great company, but the Chinese restaurant was packed and the service was terrible. We had to wait almost 2 hours for our food, and in the meantime, they hardly came around to replenish our drinks. I went screaming into the kitchen, blaming the over 60 crowd, only to find that the chef was about 35 with a gigantic feeling of entitlement, such that he was taking a break every 5 minutes and complaining about all the customers he had to feed. But the company was great, although I had no other pilots along. I had called the layover hotel and found out that we had a crew staying, but they wouldn't put me through to them, so I just couldn't make contact. They would have enjoyed the group, but would have hated the service. Oh well.

Well if a over 60 Capt is on a trip and they need an FO, and an over 60 guy is above you on leveling, they will have to bypass him and call you (international). See that was easy. Seems when the 777 comes on line this would happen all the time.
