I think it was mostly just females trolling for a pilot husband, with their cooking and perfume.

It's no longer expected, or even wanted by, by most guys that I fly with..

Back in my youthful days as a FedEx Ramp Agent, i would always bring cookies or donuts or some form of junk food for the crews (after the first trip). Now, this was back in the late 90's up till 9/11. And more often then not, I would have crews be surprised that anyone still did such things. ANd for a ramper, it was most certainly a privilege. And it got me 2 free round trips to SYD and back. I also made it a point to email captains on long int'l legs and say hi. DO u know how many cookies 4 full crews eat in the course fo a day?

At any rate, I still view jumpseat rides a privilege, on any airline. And since beginning a commuting lifestyle, the rides greatly appreciated.

So according to md11phlyer, there are no doors on FedEx aircraft. But according to you, there are. So if the MD10/11 has doors, why do they not allow JS'ers int'l?

For security reasons, please don't go into details about aircraft equipment.

I don't know of any u.s. carrier that lets pilots jumpseat in the cockpit int'l. they'll take you if there are seats in the back though with everyone else.

I'm guessing you have never JS'ed on an ACMI carrier?
