For FedEx Jumpseaters
Questions.
I live in GRR and notice that FedEx flies a few flights per day there and seems to have a distribution center of sorts there. I am based for the moment in ORF and I believe FedEx flies there as well.
I have never jumpseated on you guys but might love to try if it would help my commuting issues.
I guess any flights would go through MEM but I don't know. How would I find out about schedules and/or routes?
Thanks for any tips!

You could fly on us from GRR-IND-ORF or GRR-MEM-ORF. Call jumpseats at 901-224-5420 and they will provide availability and verify your CASS info. We would be happy to have you onboard. Cheers.

It takes time to get your info into our system, even if you are already set up with CASS. Call a few days ahead to get the CASS part set up, then you can call 24 hours prior to book the jumpseat itself.

All things being equal, take the Indy hub turn. Much less competition for the flights to from ORF.

Not to be too negative, but good luck getting a MEM-ORF seat. I don't know about the IND flight, but both are 727s and only have 2 jumpseats. The MEM flt is almost always booked, with standbys waiting. Just way too many Fedex guys living in the ORF area.

You can only sign up 24hrs in advance but if you get a seat it will remain yours unless the company has an unusual situation that they need to fix. A fdx guy will not bump you.

how many seats available on the 300/310s and DC-10s??
Does FDX care if a CASS participant j/seats internationally (Euro hubs)???

Blame the TSA. Hopefully CASS will be approved for international ops someday.
And bring cookies on Fed Ex flights. It's an unofficial rule. Many Fed Ex guys actually get offended if you don't have cookies for them.
