I stand corrected, though in my defense I posted it as it was given to me.

I sometimes "lurk" over on the ABX Yahoo board, (disclaimer:wouldn't recommend that to someone if you have a weak stomach), and saw something you, (guessing it was you) posted regarding a "post mod" on 39 DC-9's. Is the "post mod" the mod for the windshield "frame" on the 9, or is it something else? One other thing, what is a 767PC? What's the PC stand for?

Thanks.

ABX currently operates 24 B767-200 PC's (Package Carrier), 5 B767-200SF (Special Freighter) and 13 B767-200SF Advanced (Special freighter with flat panel avionics mod). Some of the PC's are being re-configured with rollers in the belly compartments to allow the carriage of standard sized lower deck containers.

I think the orginal purchase of 767-200's totaled 25. These ex ANA 767-200 became the 767-200PC aircraft. Then 5 P&W powered ex TWA 767-200's that were converted to 767-200SF, then 12 767-200's from Delta converted to 767-200SF (Adv) and finally 1 767-200 from AA also converted to 767-200SF (Adv).

No, the -205/231's from TWA have not been converted to SF's. The last 5 -281's from ANA were the first SF's. All else is correct.

I stand corrected. I was thinking about ABX selling the -205/231's to a bank and leasing them back with the bank discovering the aircraft were really next to worthless. It was subsequent to that little move that the last 5 ex ANA -281 got the SF conversion.
