Default re-classed?

I was offered a job with a major freight co., and assigned a March 10 class date. It was just changed to March 17 due to lack of hired applicants. Has anyone heard of this happening, or is this something I should be worried about?

It would help to know what airline you are talking about.

Why are they having a lack of applicants?

I'm not sure if it's a lack of applicants or lack of applicants they like. They perform interviews at least once a week. They have had monthly classes since November.

Maybe there is a reason that pilots looking for work don't want to apply there?

There was one other interviewee when I interviewed. He had thousands of hours in DC8s, but was holding out for Skybus. I've just never encountered a pushed back ground school and was wondering if this is normal.
