It's not the number of guys in a base, it's the attitude of those guys. In Memphis, it's all about Southern manners. Don't ruffle any feathers. Get along at all cost, by not making any waves. Blah, blah, blah. In ANC and the New York base (when we had it), stink was called stink, and if you didn't like it, tough. A much more appropriate atmosphere in which to do a good job of self-policing with peer pressure.

Bury my head in the sand and act like I didn't know it was disputed. I even offered to forward the SIG letter to a "southern gentleman" last month. He said he'd check it out and behold, he picked up another one in April. It's all about ME!!!

Of course the loosers in Memphis jumped on them ASAP. I saw two but I'm sue there were more.

Thanks again for doing the right thing ANC and shame on us MEM boys.
Thank you for the compliment, and for the jumpseat, my friend. We Anchorage boys (and girls, for the most part) do remember.

OK, UNLESS the Union takes a hard line position on this .................. it will happen every time ! These dollar chasers don't mind it, unless they get found out and exposed, or should we say "illuminated" ....................
No doubt, there should be a movement afoot to find out who these folks are and WHY they are doing it ............................ get the repeat offenders and bring the issue to their faces, in front of the peer group, no less, no mercy.

1. Problem is the union CAN'T take a hard line position on these pairings.
2. The WHY doesn't matter either. There can be (IMHO) only 2 reasons for someone flying these DP's; a) they got it on reserve (and may God have mercy on their soul); and/or b) they totally screwed up and picked it up by mistake (this is a once-in-a-lifetime excuse.) Once they realized their stupidity, they tried in vain but couldn't get rid of it.
3. The Anchorage guys seem to track and confront these offenders rather nicely. The Mempho guys need to emulate ANC's UNOFFICIAL procedures.
